Innovations from BASF Company were presented in Kirovohrad Oblast

In Kirovohrad Oblast, on August 22, the Field Day was held by the Kirovohrad state agricultural experimental station of NAAN together with BASF and TerraTarsa companies. This is reported by farmerscan.com.

The main part of the event was devoted to BASF's innovative products in plant protection systems. The event was held in the format of a research and practice seminar, the first part of which took place directly in the field, where all attendees could see the preparations at work. The second part of the event was plenary with speeches of leading specialists and recommended practice.

The demonstration of experimental fields was held at the testing ground of the Kirovohrad state agricultural experimental station of NAAN. The specialists demonstrated corn and sunflower, which were treated with new BASF preparations, in particular Architekt, Akris and Kelvin Plus.

Within the framework of the field demonstration, the agricultural experimental station of NAAN showed its own achievements in the field of seed farming.

"Breeders of our experimental station grew up to date new breeds of such crops as soybean, spring barley, corn, coriander and sainfoin. There is a very wide range of innovative, modern breeds in seed farming, which are adapted to new growing conditions and climatic conditions, which change sharply. Special attention is given to the breeding of crops recommended for cultivation in our zone“, shared head of the marketing laboratory Iryna Sokolovska.

The plenary part of the event was devoted to sowing company of winter grains, which will begin in a few weeks. The representatives of BASF company told about the role of seed treatment in seed treatment technology. In addition, effective schemes of seed treatment with the manufacturer's preparations were offered.

Very informative report, which was based on the basis of multi-year researches, was prepared by Mykolai Mostypan - Assistant Professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Head of the Department of General Agriculture CUNTU. The speech of the scientist was devoted to the influence of the sowing time on the productivity of winter wheat. The main thesis of the speech was the importance of the initial stages of plant development for the formation of the crop and its quality.

"The autumn period for winter wheat is the time of formation of potential opportunities. Not any agrotechnical measures are able to compensate for the losses that took place during the first phases of the development of winter wheat“, said Mykolai Mostypan.

According to the information, the next Field Day will be held on September 6 in the village Sozonovka by the Kirovohrad state agricultural experimental station of NAAN.
