The company "SOUFFLET AGRO Ukraine" presented the French sowing system in Kiev

At the exhibition "InterAgro 2018", which was held in Kiev, EasyDrill seed drill by the French brand "SKY Agriculture" was notable for its unique design.

Volodymyr Pidvalnyi, the head of the technical department of "SOUFFLET AGRO Ukraine", told the team of the website farmerscan.com about the advantages of this seed drill.

He noted that the 6-meter EasyDrill allows sowing according to all technologies, starting from the classical one and ending with direct sowing into the stubble of sunflower and corn. Constructive solutions that have been applied for this seed drill, give it a number of competitive advantages.

"The unique thing in the seeding system is that the seed drill perfectly maintains the seeding depth thanks to parallelogram. The coulter pressure can be regulated from 0 to 250 kg depending on the field conditions. The seed drill sows all grain crops, rape, and also, as it is fashionable now, the sunflower with the help of solid planting", – said Volodymyr Pidvalnyi.

The seed drill is semitrailer and has a very low level of energy intensity. The required tractor power is 210 hp at 6 meters working width. The maximum working speed of the aggregate is 10-12 km/h. The bunker capacity is 4000 liters. The ratio between seeds and fertilizers can vary depending on needs – 60/40, 80/20 or 100% for grain crops. There is also an additional small bunker, which is intended for the seeding of green manure crops or application of microfertilizers.

Regarding the patented packing system with a roller, the manager of the technical department noted:

"This machine has cast-iron rollers, due to which it is possible to make the additional loading of the section. The necessary regulations are made depending on field conditions. If the classic technology is used and the soil is loosened, you can pack with roller more forward. When there is a drought and the soil is solid, then the additional loading is done due to the hydraulic cylinder on the rear iron-press wheels. Accordingly, if we observe a better seed contact with the seedbed, the moisture is pulled up for the germination of the grain in a row."

The sowing grain crops is carried out through a disk-anchoring system. The disk cuts the soil and the anchor creates a seedbed. The coulters are equipped with etchers that reduce the risk of injury to the seeds, as the seeds fall into a row under their own weight, and are pushed out under the pressure. The space between rows –16.7 cm; it is not regulated.

Another interesting feature of the Easy Drill is the lay of the fertilizers in a row.

"Mineral fertilizers may be applied lower, higher than seeds or directly in a row. By positioning action of the tube for application of fertilizers, they will be applicated in a row or above the seeds. If you change the positions of the feed in the bunker of seed and fertilizer, you can apply fertilizer deeper then seeds. For example, you can sow rape. At the same time fertilizer will be applied to a depth of 6 cm, and by the tube – seeds to a depth of 2 cm", said Volodymyr Pidvalnyi.
