Spirit 600С – design advantages of a seeder. Interview with an engineer of the company "Väderstad"

The crop capacity depends on the quality and sowing terms. Agrarians are trying to optimize the sowing process, that's why sowing machines enjoy strong demand. With their help, you can carry out several operations at once in a single pass, thanks to which manufacturers reduce costs and time.

Spirit 600С is one of such high-performance sowing machines. 5000 L bunker and working speed up to 15 km/h allow covering to 120-130 hectares per day.

This year, the seeder received a number of improvements. The upgrades involve the hydraulic system – specific LS-hydraulics has become much easier when combined with a conventional tractor with a capacity of 170 hp and more. Also, there is the possibility of combine drilling.

Valerii Kremsal, engineer of the introduction of new technology and equipment from the company "Väderstad", told about the design features:

"This is traditional European seeder. If a Rapid is more suitable for heavy soils, the Spirit is suitable for those farms that use classical tilling technology, qualitatively preparing the soil. This seeder requires less traction power per meter of working width".

A company representative noted that the Spirit seeder is equipped with a Fix fertilizer system that does not require separate colters for fertilizer. This reduces tractor power requirements. A tube for fertilizers located behind the tillage disc, application is conducted separately from the seeds.

"It is possible to sow any crops with a norm from 1 to 500 kg/ha. Dosing electric drills Phoenix II are installed on the seeder. There are three plug-in coils: for small-seeded crops, for cereals and legumes, as well as for grass. In comparison with seeders of a similar type, they have limitations on technical capabilities — either it is not enough plug-in coils, or seeding rates", – said Valerii Kremsal.

Also, the engineer noted a special quality control of sowing. The seeder Spirit is equipped with a Väderstad E-Control system that can be controlled with the help of an iPad. This allows to control the sowing, in particular, to regulate the depth of the working bodies directly while working in the field.
