In Kiev Oblast, at the exhibition "International Field Days" the company "Lemken" presented the seed drill Azurit 9.
Pneumatic precision seed drill Azurit 9 is a novelty in the manufacturer's line with a unique seeding technology. This machine was awarded at such international exhibitions as "Agritechnica-2017" and "Techagro-2018".
The main feature of this machine is the innovative seeding technology DeltaRow .The principle is based on sowing seeds not in a row, but with a shift, in chessboard order. The seeds, which are located in this way, receive a large feeding area. The plants overlap each other less in comparison with the usual wide-row sowing. As a result, there is no contest for light and moisture, which positively affects on the yielding ability.

This method is carried out due to the unusual construction of the sowing device. A pair of synchronized seed discs alternately feeds the seeds to the two openers of the section. Thus, the 8- row seed drill actually sows 16 rows.
There is a packing device before each double-disk opener. The rollers smooth the soil; thereby, it ensures the uniformity of sowing in depth.
The fertilizers in this seed drill are fed between the combined rows. The fertilizers lie deeper and away from the seed bed. Therefore, it is an ideal variant for sowing. This placement of fertilizers eliminates the risk of toxicity or burns of sprouts.
The seed drill Azurit 9 allows sowing corn, sunflower, soybeans and rapeseeds with great accuracy even at high speed.
"All the processes during the work with the seed drill can be controlled with the help of computer, which is located in the cabin. During sowing of calibrated seeds, it was possible to sow at a speed up to 20 km/h, if the seeds were not calibrated - up to 15 km/h, "said the representative of the daughter enterprise "Lemken-Ukraine" Sergey Minchenko.
The visitors of the exhibition could personally get acquainted with the design and technical features of the seed drill, as well as see the state of sowing, which is produced by this machine. Last year the seed drill moved into mass production. Commercial sales in Ukraine are scheduled for 2019.
