Weather forecasters promise heat in April and cool weather in May

Weather forecasters predict a significant increase of temperature in the spring without prolonged frosts.

It was informed at a press-conference by a representative of the department of climate research and long-term forecasts of the Hydrometeorological Institute of the NASU Vazira Martazinova. According to the expert, in the second month of spring we can expect a temperature increase up to +30, which will last in May, but closer to the summer the weather can be cooler.

“The temperature regime will be unstable in the near future. It is expected a decrease of temperature at the end of March, in particular a sharp short-term cooling and frosts. During the first days of April, the air temperature throughout Ukraine will stay within 9-11 degrees”, accented Vazira Martazinova.

After April 10 warming will start – on average up to +22, on a clear day you can even expect +28.

The specialist predicts dry April, but in May the amount of precipitations will be 2-3 mm.

“In the east and in the south we expect a precipitation deficit. At the same time, the temperature regime at the end of May will approach the norm and it will be slightly cooler”, said the representative of the research institute.

The representatives of NASU forecast a rise of temperature norms by 2-3 degrees throughout the country. In the western regions, 15-17 degrees can be expected, and in the center and east regions – about 17-19 degrees with a plus mark.
