
Consistent quality of seeding down and seeding accuracy are very important for the yield. Therefore, these requirements are met by the Titan series seed drills of the company "Harvest".
The Ukrainian company has produced two planters in this series: Titan 420 and Titan 600 with an option of drilling mechanism choice.
According to Hennadii Zhuk, the representative of the company “Harvest”, there is no analog equipment with such characteristics in Ukraine.
The hitch mechanism, which raises and lowers the coulters, is located just behind the coulter. This design allows reaching the stress up to 80-130 kg on the coulter. This helps to keep the seed depth of application regardless of the soil density.
For sowing, the offset position of the coulter discs is used, which forms a flattened seedbed, and prevents the contamination of the coulter with crop residues and stones. In this system, the first disc cuts a flat line of sowing, crushes crop residues, and the second disc loosens the soil and prepares a place for application of seeds.
They are made of boron steel by the company "BELLOTA". The discs are fully heat-treated and have precise edge sharpening.
Press wheels are located behind the coulter, which have a ten-step depth adjustment mechanism. The seed drill is equipped with a volume tanker with a capacity of about 1000 liters, depending on the model.
The Titan drilling mechanism can be regulated to a microseed rate of 0.5 kg/ha and macroseed rate up to 400 kg/ha. Thanks to this, it is possible to regulate the rate of fertilizer application from 25 to 200 kg/ha smoothly and precisely. It is completed at the discretion with two sowing machines and gear mechanism:
- gear system and drilling mechanism of metal-ceramic materials
- the variable-speed gear (variator) is made of polymeric materials. In this complement, it is equipped with a helical coil for sowing cereals and a pinned coil for small-seeded crops. The seeding rate can vary from 0.8 kg/ha to 480 kg/ha. More detailed specifications of the models are listed below:
