Väderstad presented the Tempo L 16-row seed drill at the exhibition "InterAGRO-2018"

The company "Väderstad" presented the Tempo L spacing seed drill at the exhibition "InterAGRO-2018". The engineer of machinery and equipment improvement of the company "Väderstad" Valerii Kremsal shared the details about the equipment to the FarmerScan.com team.

Tempo L is a wide-row spacing seed drill, which is intended for the sowing of crops such as rape, soy, corn, sunflower, and sugar beet.

The high-speed planting is the main feature of this seed drill. Keeping steadiness and accuracy of seeding, seed drill is able to operate at a speed that is twice as high, as the usual seed drill. So, if the usual sowing speed of most units is 6-8 km/h, then the recommended speed for Tempo L – 15 km/h.

“The seed drill is intended for farms, where greater productivity of the seed drill is required. At a speed of 15 km/h, the seed drill of unit size of 8 rows easy replaces the 16-row seed drill. At the same time, it is not necessary to increase the coverage and traction power", emphasized Valerii Kremsal.

"All seed drills of this model are equipped with a large bunker for fertilizers of 5,000 l and also a bunker for seeds of 100 l. If you are sowing corn with a fertilizer application rate of 100 kg/ha, then one fueling of a 16-row seed drill Tempo L is enough for 45-50 hectares", – said the specialist.

According to the representative of the company, the model is very highly-productive. With the help of this 16-row seed drill, you can confidently sow 220-240 ha per 24 hours.

High-quality copying of a relief is provided thanks to a wide range of technological decisions. Thanks to hydraulic cylinders, the load is transferred from the central sections to the wings. In addition to the hydraulic load, the section can be loaded mechanically due to the torsion spring. The special structure of the sowing section also ensures a regularly spaced seed distribution in depth.

The fertilizers are applied separately from seeds with displacement of 3-4 cm, so even nitrogenous fertilizers can be applied without fear of chemical burn of sprouts.

Depending on the needs of the farm and processing technologies, various types of completing units of the seed drill are possible. There are a number of additional options, such as, for example, application of microgranulators. There are also variants of seed drills, on which it is possible to regulate a planting width from 45 cm to 70 cm.
